Returns Policy

Customer Returns Policy

At Rural Automation PTY LTD, we strive to ensure your complete satisfaction with every purchase. However, we understand that there may be occasions where you may need to return a product. Our returns policy is designed to be simple, fair, and transparent. Please read the following guidelines carefully to understand how returns are handled:

Eligibility for Returns

  • Items must be returned within 10 business days of receipt.
  • The item must be in its original condition, unused, and with all tags and packaging intact.
  • Certain products such as perishable goods, personalized items, or digital downloads may not be eligible for return. Please check the product description or contact customer support for clarification.
  • It is completely within Rural Automation PTY LTD's discretion as to whether a request for return is granted. By default, change of mind returns are not accepted.

Initiation of Returns

  • To initiate a return, please contact our customer service team at 1300 040 720. Provide your order number and details of the item(s) you wish to return.
  • Our customer service team will guide you through the return process and provide you with a return authorization if your return meets our policy criteria.

Return Shipping

  • Customers are responsible for the full cost of return shipping unless the return is due to an error on our part or a defective product.
  • We recommend using a trackable shipping method to ensure safe delivery of your return. Rural Automation PTY LTD is not responsible for any damage or loss to return items whilst they are in transit.
  • Any costs resulting in damage or loss is the full responsibility of the customer.

Refund Process

  • Once we receive your returned item and verify its eligibility, we will process your refund promptly.
  • Refunds will be issued to the original payment method used for the purchase.
  • Please note that shipping charges and transaction fees (if any) are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error or a defective product.

Exchange Policy

  • If you wish to exchange an item for a different size, color, or variant, please contact our customer service team to arrange for an exchange.
  • Exchanges are subject to product availability and the discretion of Rural Automation PTY LTD. If the desired item is out of stock, a refund or store credit may be issued instead.

Damaged or Defective Items

  • In the rare event that you receive a damaged or defective item, please contact us immediately. We will arrange for a replacement or refund, as per your preference, at no additional cost to you.

Restocking Fees

  • We do not charge restocking fees for eligible returns. However, certain non-standard returns may be subject to restocking fees at our discretion. Any applicable fees will be communicated to you before processing the return.

  • We reserve the right to update our returns policy at any time without prior notice. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting on our website.

Warranty Information

Warranty for Hardware

Rural Automation PTY LTD warrants to the original end user ("Customer") that Product purchased from Rural Automation PTY LTD will be free from defects in workmanship and materials, under normal use, for generally one (1) year, unless otherwise advised at the time of purchase, and batteries for which ninety (90) days shall apply, unless such warranty period has been extended by Rural Automation PTY LTD, and provided any and all operating and maintenance instructions are strictly respected, in particular in case of extreme and/or continuous applications/use of the Product. The warranty period begins on the proved purchase date (or if applicable, date of delivery or date of acceptance report). Rural Automation PTY LTD obligation under this warranty shall be, at Rural Automation PTY LTD sole option and expense, to replace or repair the Product or part, or refund the purchase price paid for the Product.


Warranty for Software

For "System Software" (defined as operating software and/or firmware necessary for switching on and running the Product), all provisions contained in this Warranty shall apply as for hardware. With respect to "Application Software" (defined as preinstalled or loadable on-board software and/or office or PC-based software for particular operations of the Product and/or data), the warranty provisions contained herein do not apply.


Obtaining Warranty Service

Customer must contact Rural Automation PTY LTD within the applicable warranty period, with dated proof of original purchase from Rural Automation PTY LTD and a description of the defect will be required.


Warranty Exclusive

Rural Automation PTY LTD shall not be liable if the alleged defect or malfunction was caused by Customer's or any other person's misuse, neglect, improper installation, unauthorized attempts to open, repair or modify the Product, inadequate maintenance, disregard of operating instructions, excessive load or stress, normal wear and tear, or any other cause beyond the range of its intended use, by accident, fire, or other hazards. This warranty does not cover physical damage to the Product or malfunctions resulting from the use of the Product in conjunction with any sort of ancillary or peripheral equipment.


Warranty on Service and Repairs

Service and Repairs performed by any of our service departments have a 90 day warranty covering defects in materials and/or workmanship
If the repaired product is still under its original warranty, then the repair warranty is 90 days or to the end of the original warranty end date, whichever is longer
Replacement products provided as a repair option will only have a 90 day warranty.


Limitation of Liability

Rural Automation PTY LTD also excludes any liability, whether based in contract or tort (including negligence), for incidental, consequential, indirect, special, or punitive damages of any kind, or costs of procurement of substitute products by customer, or for the loss of revenue or profits, loss of business, loss of information or data, or other information of financial loss arising out of or in consequence with the sale, installation, maintenance, use, performance, failure, or interruption of this product. Rural Automation PTY LTD limits its liability to replacement, repair, or refund of the purchase price paid.
